you can not generalize , depends

1)the university & what kind of specific course ,

2) the student capacity

3)the company and his staff to understand both

It is a working progress ,day by day and the best training seems to be on the job !

University education is good thing to have, However, nowadays is about getting things done with and through other people which is entirely different from academic intelligence and the successful formula for this is being  three dimensional, it would be a brave person who accused Bill Gate, Alana Sugar, Richard Branson, Warren Buffet and so on of being dumb they are all MBA free zone.

A university degree is good, but experience is asked by employers. What is require depends on the situation where the employer stands. Ther should be a mix of newly grads and skilled personnal. People need to get a chance to built their experience up. After that they should follow courses and seminars and get more experienced in the meanwhile.

Education is good to have but those interested and have skills nice to give the opportunity to have a good job. Not all people graduate in private or university have a great skill or talent
