People say SALES is the most thankless profession of all ? what you say ? !. true 2. false 3. some other opinion in marketing & sales management ?

Most view sales as a thankless job but the reality is very different. The work is nearly always salaried (plus bonuses for good performance). You are likely to have a company car, blackberry and laptop, and the work may offer progression into sales management, marketing, sales training and other functions. Because of the negative image of sales, it's much easier to get good quality sales jobs than jobs in related fields such as marketing.

Good attitude changes all apprehensions. Marketing is a good profession and the world is need of marketers.

It's Yes & No...

Yes, because their efforts are hardly considered against end result... Only sales matters not the process of convincing, rejections after best negotiation etc. 

No, though it is followed with more stressful job a well planned & dedicated Sales Professional will always move up in career. Sales are always motivated by Incentives & Bonuses & many company takes care of efforts utility such as phone bills, car, petrol allowance etc

YES ... IT IS FAST TRACK GAME ,,, VERY COMPETITIVE & ALWAYS ON THE TOE .... I HAVE OBSERVED THIS .. 

False,First of all you have to love your job and what you are doing. Sales, means make customer happy and bring profit to your company.Work is fun, everyday something new, very challenging.

I would say sales is the best profession for people who is flexible, communicative, aim-orieanted,ambitious, honest and proactive, have approach to people and is strong in negotiation

According to my observation, mostly it is True. I also don't know why people do not like the sales person, as they are just doing their job like other professions. 

Depends on the degree of success (or failure) in performing the sales job and achieving/exceeding  the expected results.  If things are in their desired levels, sales could be perceived as the KING of the organization because they would be the function bringing precious $$$$$$ to the pockets

Sales & Marketing is the best profession. I don't find any reason to negatively perceive. This is the profession that generates revenue for the organization and responsible for top line. The one who recognises this and moulds himself positively, would emerge as a winner. The best S&M guys are sought after and sky is their limit in terms of growth. Sales & Volume optimization is crux in business every guy in this fraternity can take advantage of this.... I wish S&M guys perceive their profession positively and wish them all the very best....

It is all about ATTITUDE+++,If it is positive one will be thankful or otherwise.Tell you sales people are crazy they crave for sales yearn for it,are passionate with zest and zeal win many friends on the course are paid well and earn good incentives
