Humanistic learning theory is based upon the idea that every individual different from the others. So there is a need of tailoring learning process for every individual in such a manner which is able to cater his requirements. This theory was presented by Abraham Maslow in1943 in his paper. He further elaborated it in his book. He puts the basic needs of a learner at the bottom and builds a pyramid on it with more complex and advanced one at the top.

This theory is criticized by many. They claim that it's not realistic as it's self centered and can be proved a hindrance in spread of education at a vast level.

Never sure, but it seems like a regular personal communicative approach with interests of students to the fore to some extent
