Did you mean how can I use a computer to improve my Linux/Unix skill? If so then Just install any linux OS and start using it. Find any functions you dont know then google it or youtube it or even ask here.Hope this helps.
Linux/Unix is a very important technology to learn specially if you want some thing meaningful as windows are closed source and linux is opensource ,so if you want you can learn with linux much much more. Its look difficult earlier and it is but compare to windows ,linux/unix have alot of advantages.
Simple :) Linux = commands+you= programer (if you dedicated yourself)
*bonus in mastering linux = Hacker (like this one)
Learning Linux will help you remember commands by heart as Windows is simply going through menu and you don't need to remember commands or sequence. Linux however is more secure than Windows and thats why multinationals use it for their applications.
Before, you post a question about using Microsoft Office Application. Have you expertise those? Before you jump into Linux/Unix OS i think you should learn first Microsoft OS and its product. Because it is impossible to serve one (1) master at the same time. Linux/Unix is different from Microsoft, its kinda difficult and a hard coded OS. Anyway, assuming that you know already Microsoft and its product and not only knowing those but you consider yourself as an intermediate user well, Jiyad is correct. Install your PC a Linux OS. And start exploring it.
