I would copy a drawing either in the file tree or in the drawing with Save as...
If there is a problem with a drawing ... your backup can be a live saver ...
I had one case where I had a big data lose in a current file ... a colleague opened the backup while I closed the drawing ....... granted I lost work, however did not loose everything, since the last saved data been in my back up...
