Because you may have a great product, with great features, a justifiable pricing, unique differences etc but if 'YOU' as a sales person unable to differentiate while negotiating, fail to negotiate or explain the unique features in an better way & unable to follow up correctly even the greatest brand in earth may result in 'FAILURE' thus "YOU" as a sales person or an initiator is very important in the sales process.

I think "YOU" because if you have mentally and physically present on the spot where u soled your product, you did your best to achieve your desire goal.
In my opinion YOU is the most important. A brilliant sales person has the ability to "create" the best product or service and sell it like that.
