I take criticism and learn from it. It may be something I am doing wrong but will always be open to any remarks (good or bad).
First of all never respond to criticism on the spot. Most often people tend to feel intentionally being attacked whenever being criticized, especially if they feel they have given their out most effort in organizing and leading their team. and no matter how much they try to resist, many times their response will sound more defensive than subjective when it is immediate. Therefore try always to delay feedback to give yourself time to absorb what has been said to you, in order to process without the interference of emotions.
After that, take the criticism and view it from a third party perspective. which means you need to be completely bias in your analysis and judgment.
Try always to resist the urge to be on the defensive side and don't take it personally. Also try not to victimize yourself and behave as if people are just waiting for the right moment to put you down.
Always make sure you support your response with evidence, especially when you are presenting an argument opposite to the criticism.
As a final note, handling criticism professionally is an important aspect of team communication, whether it be with your subordinates or superiors. subjective criticism many times can be an opportunity to build character, enhance certain abilities and address personal flaws that need to be altered, therefore always take it with a open mind set and collaborate because your personal development is a chance for an overall team development.
As a team leader, Criticism should be handled in a positive note. Every view point and the cause of the criticism to a team leader should be analyzed by him and necessary improvement should be performed in order to cover it up. As a team leader, the ability to influence the team members in a positive way should not get affected in any manner.
With condense & a a humble smile.
will take it in a constructive way to answer and resolve their questions , doubts , misunderstandings about me if they are on right way .
but if their way is just a false criticism then will have a personal discussion with them to bring them on the positive way at the end they pretend then i wll go through on my own way simply
Take it serious and investigate without delay. If the criticism has a solid background try to solve the problem in cooperation with the othert team members. If the criticism is unjustified make a clear statement to avoid such in the future
Hi i believe many times Constructive Criticism is a very valuable feedback tool for course correction of Leaders also if your team is not able to comfortably discuss sensitive issues with you then as a leader you are missing connect with your team. Best approach is to make a note of your team views with your immediately responding but to revert after careful thought & introspection.
Being humble in accepting criticism & taking team members trust will greatly improve results.
