A very common question and there is no standard answer for that. Age and position have directly link with each other. For each position, we have set secification.
I personally think both have beneficial contributions but in different levels, the experienced individual will most definitely bring so much to the table where as the fresh graduate will be eager to learn and enhance his skills which will eventually lead to contribute to the business/ organisation. Still having both on board will make business environment more competitive and healthy.
in my opinion, fresh candidates are more effective for an organization due to their innovative and energetic capabilities.
Depend on company age & type of business experiences, but combination of40+ with experiences , knowledge & fresh energetic is important ,40+ with knowledge & experience is important ,because to carry any business successfully you need knowledge and experiences & to gain knowledge ,experience for fresh energetic to handle your business in future practically & more successfully ,you need knowledge and experiences of40+ ,only fresh energetic without knowledge and experiences cannot lead to end desire .
it depends on your company business experience, at the start companies need experienced people so that they can be productive from the day1.
if a company is working for more than8 to10 years, it can go for fresh candidates, because they already have trained and experienced40+ employees who can train their juniors.
some may say that a junior can switch company and they actualy do at the early stage, now its upto your retention and motivation techniques how you retain a fresh employee.
