Books do not improve skills they are just for guidance. To improve skills, do marketing in real market.
Practice Makes Perfect, specially with good observing.
Thank you Mr. Zafar.
Brandwashed: Tricks Companies Use to Manipulate our Minds and Persuade Us to Buy”by Martin Lindstrom.
To be honest, I have not read any marketing or sales books lately, last book I read was advance marketing few months ago.
I am reading the SEVEN HABITS OF THE HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE. It's more about change and life than about marketing
Nothing recently................... the last book i went through was about "transformational Mentoring"
The latest course which I took was of E-Marketing & Social Media.
I just follow my mind and heart... time itself is the best teacher. With time you get experience and with experience you learn and improve yourself... Reading marketing and sales books would just make the job monotonous and robotic. You need to have a different approach each time you go out for selling to make the job more interesting and non-monotonous
I read publications about neurolinguistic programming NLP
it is techniques to influence people
I read a lot of books on phsichology, because in sales and marketing both goods or services goods/services are important but more important are human who buy and sell
if you know to read peoples feelings and attitudes, if all what you ask them to do generates seratonine in their brains ( chemical hormone of hapineess ) you can be much more successful in your business-your team will be happy and add more value, much better than they do the job only because they are afraid to fired
or for example I know what a person will be feeling if given unclear task, and how I can conclude if employee didn't understand the task by verbal and non verbal signs
