An educated qualified person is better sales person because he have the professional background for any product he is employed to sell in market with proper knowledge rather than a person layman.
A Layman. Education is important however you will not learn everything in the university. Mostly through experience. Making customers understand one thing using the simplest explanation will be better and will give them more understanding which can lead to a sale. And layman does the exact thing.
A sales person can be anyone because we are trained to be since our childhood even to our kids we are selling our ideas to the point where we are on a big executive position and selling our objectives and goals to our superiors and our subordinates. So it's a talent,definitely education brings allot of different concepts from legendary people who have been in those fields long ago and presented their benchmark theories. But i would say its a game of practice and it gets better with exposure, no absolute answer to who can be better because i have examples for both. So its a matter of where you see a person and his circumstance.
