Hai..

Frankly i don't think so.. Though initially it was considered as a highly efficient ones but right now due to other effective means of reaching customer's I don't think much clientele go for Email Marketing.

Also the fact that due to increase in 'Spams', 'Viruses' etc most don't even open it & even if they read a great product offer they may simply not believe it as Identical fraud is also at raise.

I won't personally consider it either never had ever used such communication to communicate customer's. It depends also on ROI.

For example if a Party charges you $10,000 for1000000 customer's than cost to communicate per customer would be $0.01 it may sound great but out of1000000 may be only10% may open it thus now cost per customer is $0.10 & out of those opened may be maximum5% of it may seem interested & may contact thus cost has now gone to $2.00 per customer & in that5% let's take10% of who inquired (total of5%) makes the decision of buying it than cost to bring one customer may be $20.00 . Thus, one should not look for total reach it may take but what is the outcome of it & is it worth :-)

Understanding of ROI effectiveness is key & is the future :)

Ummm as a customer i normally ignored them but email marketing is still effective as it reaches to the customer and somehow if the product is presented in a proper way it lead to customer attention and sometimes sales.

yes it is effective it's depend upon the industry if you market your product on the segment that's are seeking your products. If  you want to perform the email marketing effectively you use the mailchimp because they have proper step to the email to your list.

Hi Zaid,

I would broadly say that the NET is a very cost effective way of marketing.  And sending emails is even more cost effectively.  As the penetration level is low in our part of the world email marketing may not be effective if the target audience does not have access to emails.  Now a days many companies are reaping the benefit of email marketing particularly in India as the prosperous middle class sees the benefit of getting their requirements met via mail order.  This is only bound to increase in days to come...so yes marketing via email is effective !!

It depends on many factors like your target customers, subject line of the mail, content of the mail etc.

Once a firm  connection is established --o.k. with e mail marketing.   I have a e-mail account with more than5000 such requests, practically it will be difficult to respond.

So what Mr. Sidvin shetty answered hold good always, especially now onwards.

Sending emails is not completely ineffective. It may be benefiting for the repeating customer  to provide them the information about the new offers and upgrades.

But of course junk emails are outdated and very people would bother to open the junk mails.
