Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.

To advance in the career these qualifications are desirable.

Yes, you can advance as a non-qualified accountant if you have required experience in the field. But you can’t become a certified accountant without passing certification exams (CPA / CMA).

Non-qualified accountants (accountants without certification) may be employed by a qualified accountant, or may work independently without statutory privileges and obligations.
