Feels good as they say that writing is a remedy for soul and mind. That’s applies to me and further boosts on having gone through my own work. But at the same time while reading I would note down the parts where improvisation is needed.

Reading it already published? Or reading it after the final draft?

Reading my work after it is published gives me mixed emotions.  For one, there's a feeling of apprehension that it might not sell or read by my intended readers.  There's also a feeling of inadequacy.  I mean, each time I read my writing, I sometimes feel that I could have stated the words the other way. But sometimes, too, I feel a sense of satisfaction.

Having just published my first book "Leader$hip an insider guide", it's a great feeling. Although often overly critical of my writing - I tend to think I can always rewrite it better - it's interesting how when you see your work in a book format, it becomes almost like somebody else's. In a way, you become the reader - all writers are readers! - and a different person. Feedbacks from other readers will make you a better writer, so keep at it!
