MANAGEMENT:
Management is the function within an organization that focuses on managing of the people who work in the organization. Management can also be performed by line managers and supervisors. Management is the organizational function that deals with issues related to people such as performance management, proper functioning of the organization, safety of the organization tools and resource, benefits, motivation of the human resource, communication, administration and training.
HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT:
The Human Resource Development is concerned with identifying strengths and weaknesses among different employees and devising training means that aim at making those skills complement the other.
Human Resource Development aims at developing a superior workforce so that the company and individual employees may achieve their goals. It can take on a formal approach as in a classroom or laboratory training in a case where it may apply. It may also take the informal route where an employee receives coaching or simple mentor-ship from his superior, usually a manager.
HRM : deals with the day to day operations of the Hr department. This curriculum would include employee relations benefits, law, compensation, leave attendance and medical etc.
HRD: Human Resource Development deals with the training and developmental aspect of employees for the organization.Most of HRD curriculum include the professional working and identified the employees and work force ability.
Human Resource management meets the requirement of manpower whereas Human resource Development aims to enrich the ability and different programs
HRM is a Reactive function while HRD is a Pro Active one.
HRM IS THE responsibility of HR manager only,while HRD is the responsibility of all the managers,it is pervasive activity.HRM deals with Recruitment,selection ,placement,training,development,compensation,conflict resolution,industrial dispute,HRD on the other hand is a part of it which deals with Training Development,performance appraisal,career development etc.
