How can be team work successful when key performance indicators are designed in a manner that contradict the team work?

I will answer you as a team leader, every organization, is guided by objectives and its core business. Team work is required to achieve the corporate objectives. The team leader sets the K.P.Is for the staff in order to evaluate achievement in line with the above objectives. I would say because the team has to win and the corporate objectives will not flex for the KPIs. We need to review the Key Performance indicators and aline them with team work and company objectives.
