Secondary packaging can be said to have two central functions:

1. Branding & Display. Secondary packaging plays a vital role in the marketing strategy surrounding the product. This is especially relevant in the case of display packaging.
2. Logistics. Secondary packaging serves to group several products together for ease of handling, transport and storage. This means that secondary packaging must be able to:

1. contain relatively large volumes of primary packaged products.
2. ransport the product safely to its retail or consumer destination.
3. keep the primary packaging in its original condition during storage.

The answer would be no.2 & no.3. This is because, many of the factories will transfer their goods to various distribution places (warehouse). As we know,at DC, commonly, various packaging activities will be conducted for marketing purpose and displaying products at retail shops, as they will packed the goods in small quantities and distribute to the wholesaler/retailer.
