1. After insuring the safety of the crew in both vessels, captains don't try to pull the ships away from each other to avoid any loss in ships' stability.2. Send a protest letter to the other ship.3. Insure and secure marine pollution and take all the required measures to minimise it.4. Give hand of assistance if the other ship needs any help or rescue.5. Send a security message to all ships and costal stations in the vicinity to be in standby for any rescue operations and avoid collision.6. Record the accident in more details in the official log book.7. Inform the owners to take their responsibilities regarding other actions and procedures.
