A teacher should be everything to a learner.  However, one must be careful about expecting the teacher to be a leader all the time as well as the expectation that the teachers make the rules.  There is a time and place for everything.  Teachers are leaders when the teacher needs to lead.  If teachers are leaders all the time how do learners become leaders.  Teacher must create the opportunities for learners to lead and that is how learners ultimately become leaders.  Concerning rule making, it is important for teachers to make rules but learnes should also participate in the rule making process or they become alientated and frustrated.  The rule must be agreed to and make sense to the learner or it is not a rule. It is dictatorship.  There is no place for dictatorship in the21st century.
