I prefer to use laptop especially if you are going to meet customer
Normally at work places desk top computers are preferred.
I prefer laptop as it is handy and we can carry anywhere and start with our work which makes our work more easy and safe.
I always prefer Desktop a better choice.
It must be desktop but if movable job then laptop is the best.

in case your job is stationary Desktop will do,in case you need to go to clients place for presentations you need a portable item,again whether Tablet or Laptop depends on the volume of data you need.
