yes of course marketing is to generate the business with profit. It allows them to sell products or services to other companies or organizations that resell them, use them in their products or services or use them to support their works.

Even though marketing always aims to generate more business.. its not always the case.. When a company starts a new vertical, the marketing motto is not business but bring the awareness that they are into that services or production too.. here no business but only promotion..
