From my experience in this new industry, especially in the Middle Eastern region, some people (myself included!) are more likely to remember facts given through narration or conversation for a few reasons:

- Studies have shown that a vocally narrated story activates the brain most effectively to simulate an experience (link: http://freakonomics.com/podcast/this-is-your-brain-on-podcasts/)

- Some people are inclined to learn auditorily

- Some people landing as “iNtuitive” on the Myers-Briggs scale remember the emotional themes or abstract concepts of conversations better than facts, and those landing as “Extroverted” are energized by a social simulation.

On a less official scale, listeners of my podcast tell me regularly that they feel a lot closer to me and my cohost through the medium than they do when they watch or read other media.
