Hello,

FM-200 fire protection system Test Basically Include Piping, Room Integrity  Test  & System Operational Test.

The piping tests Include the following:

The piping shall be tested Pneumatically at40 psi for10 mins.

The Piping & Nozzles shall be tested for any Obstruction Using Nitrogen Or any Inert gas.

The Operation test is as Following:

1.If One smoke detector is activated by smoke then there should be an audible alarm (BELL) at the protected space & a signal to the Main Fire Alarm Panel (FACP) shall be sent. All Ducts Penetrating  inside the room shall be closed.

2.when Second smoke detector also activates then countdown of30 sec (time can be Vary upon operator requirements) is started after which the actuator is activated which opens the cylinder head valve. (Usually Actuator is removed from the cylinder head valve because the gas inside is expensive &  the actuator is test alone for the required volts just after the countdown of30 sec.). A flashing light with Audible sound is activated just after the actuator activation.

If any component of the system (detectors, battery, power source etc) is removed then audible alarms shall be initiated & shall also be interfaced with Main FACP.
