Phenylephrine (PE) has been taking over recently as the drug of choice in treating hypotension during CS. This followed a study that showed better Apgar scores in babies born from women who had PE compared to those who had ephedrine. However care should be taken during the use of PE as severe reflex bradycardia that needs treatment may occur.
Ephedrine causes tachycardia, bradycardia may result phnypherine
both drug can be used at the same time
phenylephrine is best , cause it doen't affect the heart rate
If the patient is tachycardic , it's better to give phenyl ephedrine , if not then ephedrine ..
Ephedrine is superior to phenyepherine
there is no much dfference btween both except the act that , phenylephrine is superior to ephedrine due to higher foetal umblical blood PH.
ephedrine is better than phenylephrine
PHENYLEPHERINE IS BETTER LESS TACHYCARDIA ,NO TACHYPHYLAXIS..
phenylepherine is better as not affect heart rate, more potent to increase heart rate specially with regional blocks during LSCS
