Its very easy in Windows server 2012, you just need to add the role from server manager and give approriate information for your Domain Controller.

DCPromo command is being removed from Windows Server 2012 edition by Microsoft.

you have to use server manager -> tools-Add Active directory

Active directory can be installed using  server manager, adding  domain and service role &

you can also do  this  typing "dcpromo" on run dialog box to lunch AD installation Wizard, with this command role automatically will be installed
