I am using Autocad 2014 when I draw a line and set the distance to 100 it become small i need to zoom in so that i can see the line.

when i draw a line with the distance100 it appear only like a dot. but if i make it10,000 the distance it same size as the4 inches in the foot ruler. what should i do?. do I make changes in the setting?

Check the units youare working with, when you select your new sheet.

This applies to all versions of AutoCAD

1. Open new file

2. type L (for Line)

3. Press spacebar (or enter)

4. Left click anywhere to locate origin of line

5. Type 100 or 1000 (or whichever value you prefer)

6. Press Spacebar 2x (or enter)

7. type Z (for Zoom)

8. Press Spacebar (or enter)

9. Type .01X or .001X (to Zoom out)

10. Press Spacebar (or enter)

11. Alternatively, you can use the scroll of your mouse to zoom out (or zoom in)

Yes you need to do some changes,firstly check limits command. and specify the upper right corner value correctly. ex:, or',' like so. then use zoom command and select sub option Extends. now you draw a line. hope your problem will be fixed.

Very simple you should to apply the ''RE'' regen command.
