Handling poor the decision fall under q3. The correct approach will be handling this at q1 level by proactively working to prevent such decision from being taken which happen by getting your team engaged and have an ongoing open communication channel regarding the ongoing work. However, once this bad decision is taken. The right approach will be assessing the damage and working as a team towards minimizing it rather than playing the blame game. Its very important to initiate such a discussion to mitigate such impact by starting with an ended mind which basically make it clear to all the parties that the aim is to mitigate the impact. Once such impact is mitigated, you need to make sure that such experience is shared with the team (if possible) in order to allow them to get such an experience without having to take the bad decision themselves.

A decision arises after consideration of the available resources such as knowledge, information, data, environment, influence, etc.

When a team member makes a decision, it may be the best they could arrive at. If it is a poor decision for the management, then a good manager should first assess and evaluate the team members resources, add his own valuable input, share his experience and expertise and allow the team member to reconsider their decision now with the added resources, helping them to arrive at the managements desirable decision.

This should be followed by encouragment and reward.

Through this process, a good manager helps the team members to learn and apply best decision making techniques.

If they are only decisions then reasoning with them until they are convinced with your idea would be a good way. Sometimes throwing the responsiblity of the results on their shoulders would be a good way of convincing but you have to be prepared with a plan B
