Designs are not bad or not good. These are always as per requirements... if a person doesn't need such design then hi/she will not like it... so its a very common thing in this field.

sure, the talent is the important  reason for successful any design .. but you can successful when you learn how you can make a design ?   .. the answers  there are in :

1- you should think  carefully  what the design need ?

think ..  - Do not implement the first idea no matter how impressive you and to those around you

- drawing all your idea to empty your mind then you can find the new idea

2-  how i can arrive my idea in a simple manner ?

- when you can find this idea, and draw it and try to summarize the idea and do not use many elements .. remember always the simplicity most important thing .

3- don't use color festival and don't be fading

- you can use3 color for your design and you should maintain contrast color scheme like ( black and white and orange ) and you should mention for color tone

and in the final you must trust for your work and accept people opinion and listen for them and don't follow them.

You can tailor your creative work to resonate with specific demographics, this in fact is the point of marketing - target your intended audience.  It must also be said that there is definitely bad design.  You should try when possible to work with creative talent that understand your brand objectives.
