Dear Sharif,
Impeller particularly is defined in Centrifugal pumps. We can mainly classify them as following:
1- Based on duty to be performed by pump:
A. Open B. Semi-open C. Closed
2- According to vane curvature:
A. Backward B. Forward C. Straight
Note: you may find other detailed classifications. But all derived from above mentioned categories and could be practical too.
Regards
pump impellers can be classified as
On basis of flow
Axial Flow impeller
Radial Flow impeller
On basis of manufacturing\\Shape
Closed Channel impeller
Vortex impeller
Paddle impeller
Turbine impeller
propeller impeller
Mixed flow impeller
Semi open impeller
centrifugal screw impeller
Impeller types can be radial, mixed flow, axial and peripheral and are selected on the basis of the pump design and the application. see the link below for more details

There are so many types of pump impellers but depend on classification as follows
(a) Suction, there are single and double suction impellers
(d) Blades assembly, there are open, semi-open and closed impeller
as far as i can recall we have a centrifugal pump impeller, screw type, i forgot others
Impellers may be Open, Semi-Open and Close based on their Mechanical Design and usage.
Further more, depending on the curvature of blades on the impeller, they might be Backward Curved, Forward Curved and Radial Impellers.
its so many types of pump impellers it is according to the plan witch impellers they needed,
IHG Suction ist type of a single impeller.
DP series its another type of impellers.
