Many software solutions are available in the market that can be suited to the need of the organization, depending on the complexity of need (like linking documents inventory, spare parts, budget to same asset) you can choose the software I have used asset plus from GE and CAFM Both have been altered during use to be better tailored to our use, but I find Asset plus the better option Hope this might help you
