One of the biggest challenge facing organizations in recent times is leadership & governance.How do you think Nonprofit Organizations can overcome it?

Governance, strategy, and leadership .Effective governance is integral to the success of the nonprofit organization. Governance is essentially a decision process grounded in the assumption that organizations can cause desired results to occur by choosing appropriate courses of action. Fundamentally, governance and strategic leadership are about making informed organizational choices: choices about why we’re here, what we want to accomplish, the best ways to achieve those results, the resources we’ll need to do these things and how we will secure them, and how we will know whether we are making a difference. So to overcome these two challenge we must have a good strategy, trusted people and must continuously renew the link between what we have and want to do and what what the community need.

An organisation can attempt to overcome this issue by having diversity on the board. Also, lot of board positions are frequently given to influential figure heads. This should be mixed up with some new energy. 

 

It should be noted that in many sectors, governance is becoming more elaborate. In certain jurisdictions, regulators are moving to a self governing model which puts a bigger responsibility on an organisation. As such, organisations will have to adapt by making their governance teams more efficient and by hiring people who are experts on the subject matter.
