To understand and know which functions of the supply chain can be enhanced for example which components slow down the flow of the supply of goods/services and which adds real value. The aim should be a building a competitive infrastructure, synchronising supply and demand whilst leveraging logistics on a worldwide platform. Supply chain specialist should have in-depth knowledge of the above. This is one main role of many the specialist should hold.
