Engage in Conflict resolution

Managers who solve problems with clarity are extremely effective.   Effective managers empower others to make suggestions and recommendations.    They are masters at conflict management and are eloquent in addressing problems and getting others involved to find immediate resolution.

Agree with HI John, dealing with people from various cultures and levels of experience, can be seen as an example of a conflict situation. However if you are working as a team enforcing effectiveness and efficiency. SOP'S are vital so if someone can achieve the results in a different way while maintaining safety, efficiency and standards of time then use the conflict situation to realise a new SOP.

The good manager is who will foresee the conflict and he will not allow it to become a disagreement in the forum and if one arises he will use it as a tool to increase the synergy for the common goal, he may use it as a SWOT.
