This is based on my experience.

  1. Create a story line,
  2. Break the content into different parts
  3. Research (primary and secondary research) and make points during the research.
  4. Associate the points with the story line created for the outlay of the content
  5. Start writing anything that is related to the concept and based on the outlay.
  6. Read out the content written loudly and check how it actually sounds.
  7. Write a new revised version below the actual as many times till your hearts content.
  8. Discuss the version with the people associated or with higher-ups.
  9. Finally evaluate and present the final copy.

Each content writer handles deadline tasks differently and as far as my strategy is concerned I would follow some basic rules which are;

1. First and foremost rule is to not be careless while discussing a deadline with your clients.

2. And if your clients set a deadline for you then you should better first get an overview of the task before start.

3. Remember do not get a task that is beyond your writing speed.

4.Once you have accepted a task, you have set goals and prioritize the important thing into a checklist and start your task.

5.There is another important thing that you should know about and that is you should know when you are highly productive when you sit for writing.

Meeting deadlines is an imperative part of content writing and is vital for successful writing careers. For many content writers, meeting deadlines is a growth process that involves improving writing skills and speed.

It is thus essential that you follow these useful tips on how to meet work deadlines effectively.

  • Commit to Meeting Deadlines: Writing deadlines should be your priority, and you should always work towards delivering your work on time.
  • Show Discipline: set specific hours for strict work whereby you avoid interruptions such as phone calls or eating snacks. This will improve your concentration levels and help you maximize your writing potential.
  • Clear Deadline Communication and Outcomes: Being in agreement with the client on the set deadline is significantly useful for the writer. It can be done by confirming the correct deadline time zone and possible extensions.
  • Break Down Large Projects: Some projects are large and require a breakdown. As a result, you have to break this project into subsections and allocate certain amounts of time for each.
  • Research: Accurate and reliable works are credited to thorough research and writing skills.
  • Be Realistic: Be as realistic as you can to meet writing deadlines. Avoid over-commitment as it delays your ability to meet deadlines. Do not repeat mistakes such as late work submission or grammatical errors.

Meeting deadlines at work can be very rewarding, by continually meeting deadlines its much easier to acquire future work from past clients and maximize your work time.

My 5 step formula to manage deadlines:

!: To analyze the difficulty of an article or rather how much I know about it and then plan my time-division accordingly. usually its 40:30:30 (i.e 40% time for research, 30% for first draft and editing, 30% for final)

2: Now spend time on research about the article find SEO keywords and make points of it.

3: Write the first draft in one go without editing.

4: Edit wherever necessary, include SEO keywords and bullets

5: Take this edited sheet as a reference and write the article finally without the hassle to go back and forth into the internet.

The key is clarity of the business requirement of the client. A client's Christmas campaign discussed in June is not as important as their immediate sales promo, so establishing a clear and efficient process agreement is necessary.
