Hi Nisreen,
I would first check the BRD (Business Requirement Document) and the signed off SAD (Solution Analysis Document) to check if there is any discrepancy between the requirements given and the solution proposed by me/my team. If there is any discrepancy found then I would ask the client for a day to modify the changes and give him the solution as expected
In case the BRD and SAD are pointing to same solution and clients expectation are different from the documents. Then I would have a discussion or two with client to clear him the requirements and the solution proposed for it and if client wants something to be added to the solution, i would as for a separate document with fresh requirements so that I can proceed on a solution with completely new approach.
