We’ve all had occasions when we were asked for ideas in solving issues in which we didn't have much experience. What have you done when this has happened?

Did some reference check, studied and learned, took some advice from co-workers and then implemented them.

Since I am around in the field of ICT quite some time, I am confronted all the time with questions in which I am not an expert.
In my opinion the most important actions are: - Contacting my professional network (= gatkhering knowledge) - Relying on my experience (= setting the scope) - Involving a team of colleagues (= working on a solution supported by the business)
