Most of the managers are busy in getting their set task fulfilled, they generally ignore bcos they dont feel its important. A successful manager does evaluate his team and guides them. This is called true leadership and even the team beneath learns how to overcome their weaknesses.

Most of the Managers fail to do so either due to negligence or not able to analyse or monitor their team performance time to time. It also depends on whether the Manager has set the team with realistic targets or unrealistic..

I think failure in achieving set goals fails Managers in providing feedback to team members. Unrealistic goals or lack of focus and resourcesare primary grounds for failure of a Manager. There’s an old saying that if you fail to plan you plan to fail.

Some are micro managers, they'll point /track even hourly activities. Some are macro managers, they would give you hints and ignore your small mistakes. We need to understand with whom we are working.
