What is the differences between Correlational analysis and Regression analysis?

Correlational analysis is used to identify the way or pattern in which2 variables are related. Correlation between two variables could be straight line or curved. 

 

Regression on the other hand is used to predict the value of an unknown variable using a known variable. We could use the regression equation y=mx+c, to predict the unknown value or use any statistical softwares for this purpose
