Well it depends how that younger talent is working and bringing new ideas to digital marketing campaigns. I have seen young guys moving up on senior roles if they have extra ordinary skills and bringing new ideas to different campaigns.

Thanks for the invite Leen.

There is always a misconception that an elder generation is not fit for the digital marketing world. But remember they were once the key players when all these digital medias didn't exist. The ideas and strategies they used then is always relevant. What actually required is to train them for digital world or provide them a good implementation team who is well aware of the modern digital platforms.

Experience plays a key role when it comes to successful decision making.

No because in every aspect experience is something that cannot be matched by anything. In Senior post ofcourse there will be the need of good knowledge but it does require good experience too since there will lots of other things as well as situations too handle for which an experienced person will do better than any other person.
