It does not exist widely. Even if, then it is not applied in a proper way into our society. One of the main reasons is because no individual awareness for the organization's members about the Supply Chain or at least its concept, also no proper communication ''in general'' by the managment to apply and share this system or to show the interest to carry on.
Last 5-10 years have seen a rapid change towards adopting lean concepts in supply chain processes - starting from procurement to manufacturing and warehousing to logistics. In my management experience, we had gone over each and every function and gradually identified and centralized each process with a single point of contact to avoid wastages and ambiguity in the implementation of these processes. So, as per my knowledge and personal experience, companies are adopting lean concepts more agressively within each of their business units.

It is growing but still not widely.. i had a chance to see some projects trying to implement this concept but actually i'm not updated by their progress now...

So far i heard about Arab world that the Lean process many of the organisations have adopting and practising the lean process which help to remove the wastages and reduce the time of each and every activity which consumes unnecessarily and cut the cost increase the Business Opportunities.
