The warehouse is a central hub in the supply chain, where inventory is received from vendors and stored until its eventual distribution to consumers.
Warehouse personnel work long and often odd hours to ensure that each product is properly shelved and organized.
Warehouse managers direct team members to stock shelves, transfer inventory properly and maintain accurate inventory levels.
WAREHOUSE MANAGER GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise the operation of a storeroom and all facets including ordering, receiving, processing, recording and distri buting supplies and materials; preparing and maintaining detailed records and files.
Supervision is exercised over storekeepers and delivery persons.

Before I list down the duties and responsibilities of warehouse manager, I would like to say that there are lot of changes of this position now than before.
Warehouse manager is not just responsible in looking after their warehouse but now they are part of a bigger scope in the organization.
They are now optimizing the size of their warehouse, focus on the productivity of his personnel/asset, primary source on how to minimize the waste of their inventories, consistent in maintaning the quality of the products within the area, collaborates with various departments within the supply chain and many more.
I always believe that the warehouse department is the most honest people in the company because they are responsible in taking care of the one of the most valuable in asset of the company which is their inventories.
Here are some of the duties and responsibilites of the warehouse manager: Warehouse managers oversee the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of goods.
They ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and stock.
They plan the arrangement of goods within the warehouse and organize special requirements for certain stock, such as chilled goods or fragile products.
They ensure productivity targets are met and maintain computerized administration and automated storage and retrieval systems.
They manage teams of workers and deal with personnel issues such as the recruitment, training and discipline of staff.
Some managers also oversee picking, packing and distribution activity.

I'm totally agree for all mentioned her but  I think that the main concern and main responsibility for the warehouse manager is minimizing and Rationalizing the cost of the warehousing  operation & stock controlling process  without affecting on the goods quality , availability , safety or affects badly on the production process   ,  and here are some responsibilities from my point of view :   1. 
    Preparing the warehouse (indoor, outdoor and special condition stores) according to the specification of the materials and achieve a safe working condition for warehouse employees.
2. 
    Planning and controlling of material which includes receiving, storing, issuing, stocktaking and disposal of material.
3. 
    Receiving the purchase items with its several types and following its technical checking with the specialist.
4. 
    If the checking is accepted; materials to record at the warehouse document and to be directed at the specified location.
5. 
    Keeping and saving the stock items which means prepare the good condition for storage against accidents, fire, rain, heat and any other cause may causes the damage of these materials.
6. 
    Issuing the needed items against the delivery voucher and record the issuing operation at the specified documents.
7. 
    Facilitating fast locating materials while issuance and according to the usage levels.
8. 
    Ensure the availability of the requirements and checking the required items and follow the procedures while issuing materials.

Im NOt a Manager as of now but I will Try to the best I can: 1) To supervise the whole operations of the warehouse.
in term of documentation 2) Approving all the works related to the warehouse as well as Checking/filtering/signing of documents.
3) Training and enhancing all his subordinates for the better & simplier work with the better outcome on the flow of operation.
4) Always monitoring of all the stock in terms of overstock, expirations, minimun stock as per the settled target of the warehouse in terms of deiveries, stocks level, overall cost expences for the whole warehouse.
