The rotary steerable systems (RSS) are keeping improving and getting more precise while achieving well paths. Extended reach wells are done with latest generation of RSS. It's the future on Peutroleum industry.

RSS will die if a new technology is found to replace the actual swith a huge improvement.

RSS has basically been used to keep oneself updated with latest published information on the blog or sites that are being followed. To think it will die is not correct. It will still be useful but maybe not as much as it used to be. It still is a very good source of information about what the competition is posting and follow it up with better content to outrank them

Its been a while since I heard the mention of RSS.

Actually, Google killed off its own RSS a short while back, I think in2013. I believe it is close to non-existant today, replaced by its better hal and better compressed version XML and some new ones. Then again I could be wrong.
