Agree with Mr. Duncan Robertson If you have Strong Management and excellent system it will all apply in a great harmony, leaders should listen more, help their team's members and make them feel that they are owning the company by doing their job on the right way
I believe initially you need to be work along with them, understand their problems facing in the work and try to help them to resolve with your experience and treat everyone equal, listen to them, sometimes you had to listen to them and need to facilitate you help in their personal problems as well yet times, mostly things will be fine this way and leads to successful leadership.
Dear Ms. Rana
Leader= Manager + mentor+ Trustworthy + companion + Friend
Friend leader cannot be imposed on people it is accepted by people. In other word a person cannot be the Leader if he/she is not accepted by people. As per my best knowledge following quality can make a leader acceptable by people (a true leader)-
1. Good listener- A leader is a person to whom any one can share anything it generate trust and faith
2. Problem Solving – A leader is a true problem solver it cannot say I cannot, people need a leader who have attitude to solve the problem
3. Manager- A leader manage the situation and other factors , team member need a leader who guide them and can manager all things
4. Never criticize- Leader do not have to criticize people but analyse the problem or people and resolve the issue
5. Visionary- A leader is having a vision for team and work .
6. No need to be impatient – A leader do not have to impatient, team need a person who take time before act so that , If leader reward his decision it will ruin his/her image
7. Never shout on Team – In a team no one appreciate if anybody shout on him even there is mistake ( human nature )that is why leader have to teal the person when they made mistake but never shout .
Note : Accept a bitter Truth no leader can make all employee happy
Warm Regards
Anurag
Setting and managing expectations of employees is your number one priority. Unfortunately you can not satisfy everybody and this is not the scope of leadership.
Be honest and polite will people, recognize achievements and having the courage to take risk will make you a great leader.
Best regards,
Kiki
You cannot hold two dreams and work on them simultaneously. So better concentrate on one and the other will come to you as by-product .............remember FAME IS THE PERFUME OF GOOD ACTIONS.......... Concentrate on leadership ...sooner or later people/ team will recognize your efforts and will get along with you , even if they don't you will find followers for sure from outside.
Forget about employee happiness. If you get everything else right, it will happen automatically.
I'll write about how to get everything else right on your other question.
To become a successful leader relies on the factors rooted within such as love of work, sense of owning, positive outlook, skills to understand democratic management, and care to the business and co-workers. Having these as part and parcel of routine the sphere of operation of the business would be toughed and the spirit and meaning of being a leader is recognizable. Thus, recognized, reputable, respectable leader means a successful leader. As a whole, leader that gain respect from the company and co workers an indicator of successful leader that never sacrificing the happiness of both employer and employees.
