Based on Aspect ratio.

 

As we know Flow Q=Area (A)  X Velocity.(V)

for a Known acceptable Velocity (V), we can change the Cross sectional Area of the Duct

A=W X H.

 

For Limited Height ,Width may be adjusted to get the desired cross sectional Area of the Duct.
