the foundation under the cooling tower and its pump should be from concreat
check the area first if its a small area we use water cooled not air cooled
check the availability of water
You can decide whether to go for water cooled condenser or not based on below conditions
1. Size of cooling load TR (more than 250 TR air cooled is preferred, More than 500 TR water cooled condenser is preferred)
2. Application for cooling requirement
3. Type of usage like 24/7 or only day time
4. Space available for cooling tower
5. Capex and Opex limits
and last but not the least 7. Water availability & cost of water purchase, and recycle.
To select the type first-induced or forced, cross flow or parallel flow etc based on the inlet water temperatiure from chiller and deltaT.
the main parameters to choose water cooled condensers are
when you want to have system high EER and close capacity for the system between summer and winter specially in moderate weather countries like middle east countries
Depends upon availability and quality of water of water.
water cooled condenser is cost effective and cheaper then the air cooled for cooling
huge area.
1. IF WE NEED A LARGE CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING
2. COMPLEXNESS OF WORKING BUILDING
3. BASED ON THE TON REFRIGERATION OF THE MAIN MACHINE WHICH PLACED ON THE TOP OF THE BUILDING
To choose water cooled condenser the aria must have temperature always above 0 degrees centegrade
the heat load and the water mass flow
Concrete Base is preferred as cooling towers, pump are preferred with concrete base or inertia base.
