Who knows the differences between network advertisement in each of the following routing protocols: RIP-OSPF-EIGRP-BGP?

Examples: router ospf1 network10.0.0.0 router eigrp1 network10.0.0.0 router bgp1253 network10.0.0.0 mask255.255.0.0 However you have this network10.12.20.0/16

I got your question.
RIP is classfull and it will only understand the network boundaries.
Eg.
even if your try to announce10.10.1.1/24 configured locally.
The other non-directly connected RIP router will receive only10.0.0.0/8.
Network10.0.0.0 in OSPF means that the router will enable ospf protocol on all the interface with IP address belonging to10.0.0.0 .
OSPF router basically sends its link addresses in its routing updates.
Network10.0.0.0 in EIGRP will help to advertise the particular subnet belonging to10.0.0.0 with the subnet mask information.
If you are advertising a subnet then you have to use the subnet mask in the configuration.
EIGRP multicast the routing updates.
Network10.0.0.0 in BGP means BGP will annouce10.0.0.0/8 with a condition that the same Network with the same subnet mask should exist in the routing table.
If the requirement is to annouce a particular subnet that you need to configure the subnet mask in the network configuration.

  • RIP is a class-full routing protocol. RIPv2 is a class-less protocol. This implies that RIP will advertise10.0.0.0/8.

  • Other protocols are classless, that means they will advertise10.12.0.0 /16.

  • One more note, EIGRP do auto-summary by default. It’ll summarize the network to class-full network. In other words, it'll advertise10.0.0.0/8. You can inforce EIGRP not to summarize by issing #no auto-summary command.

In conclusion

RIP and EIGRP will advertise10.0.0.0/8

OSPF and BGP will advertise10.12.0.0 /16

Please, note that10.12.20.0/16 is not valid network address. It should be10.12.0.0/16

We choose the network advertisement depending on how the network is big  Rip follow the best hop and max hop16  for very small network Ospf follow the cost  the high capacity the low cost .it is suitable for large networkk Eigrp advanced of rip Bgp is used between AS And their areslitly different in configuration
