nose discharge can be sniffed back csf cannot then there are tests like handerkerchief test csf makes it stiff and the most specific beta transferrin test

CSF discharge- thin,watery,does not tend to stick to the handkerchief, positive for beta transferrin,  salty, positive halo sign and reservoir sign.

Nasal Discharge is thick, mucoid,tends to stick t the handkerchief, negative for beta transferrin, not salty, negative halo sign and reservoir sign.
