Plant crowns or roots in winter or early spring, setting roots inches apart in/2- to4-foot rows. Use plenty of well-composted organic matter. Open trench in rows6 inches deep and inches wide. Spread roots carefully, then fill in over each crown with3 to4 inches of loose, fertile soil. such as Cabbage,Carrots,Eggplant etc.
