genarly in each machine or industrial lines there common parts like circuit breakers or switches or some sensor's or slinoed valves or heatrs or feuses or rellaies etc , for this parts it's O.K to dealing with local technicals and for hi-tech system the parts like the PLC's and the computer systems and the bus circuits like(CAN open or MODE bus or CAN bus or Pofibus or Divice net ) and big drive motors inverters or high spped motors more than15K RPM or PT100 control boards preassur sensor boards over200 bar and many other parts this we need to have support from forein technical of the companies whos produce the machine

either both machine as long that it does its purpose and give a quality output is all the same both machine parts wear out if only the maintenance can identify length of life for each parts and replace before it does problem then their is nothing to worry.
the maintenance should maintain a skilled trained staff for such machine and should at two or three must maintenance are trained well for their job.

Oh its a trade off decision depeds with how critical your proceeses are.If you can tolarte a down time you may go for a low end supplier with locally availabe support.Thogh you might ahve loacl support with low tech stuff ahve to libve with higher deghree of unexpected breakdowns.Oforse you can have a good preventive maintennace paln and to enter into an agreement with the local supplier to minimize the time to fix any sort of a problem and may involve a considerabloe cost inevitably. But in a nutsheff if the number of stoppages during a given cycle is going to be more what ever the support you may have youn wuill add on a cretain amount of down time which will be a loss to your company.
Going for hitech will be a costly option but is more reliable AND WIOTH LESS STOPGES .iF YOU CAN AHVE A BETTER AGREEMENT AND DEAL WITH SUPPLIER YOU MAY HAVE SUPPORT AS WELL MORE OR LESS LIKELY AS THE LOACL SUPPLIER MY SUGETION IS SETLE FOR THE BEST IN CRITICAL PROCESS
