  • Work on it in the morning before your work day.
  • Do something on it every day.
  • Minimize startup and switching costs.
  • Put your main life on autopilot.
  • Combine tasks from your work life and personal life to get more done quicker and better
  • Only do side projects you are absolutely crazy about.
  • Be consistent, Do something every day and mark it off on a calendar and Don't break the chain.
  • Be honest with yourself.
  • Never plan a holiday, if you are in middle or just picked a sideline project.
  • 30 minutes run or a gym class can make your productivity much higher.

There's the job you go to during the day and the projects you come home to when you're finished. If you've got more your want to accomplish after a long day of work but are finding yourself lacking the productivity to get going on a regular basis, it can help to spend your work in the middle and pick it up right where you left off the next day. Kah Keng Tay, an engineer over at Quora, uses this technique to easily pick up his side projects: I leave all my editors, browser windows, etc. exactly the way they are so I can pick up and resume where I left off. This means I usually never shut down my computer, preferring to put it to sleep or standby where possible. When you leave your work in the middle, you get the added benefit of knowing exactly where you need to start back up again. If you end your work day by finishing a task, it'll often be difficult to start again because you have to figure out what to tackle next. Stopping in the middle of your work gives you one less reason to procrastinate when you start again. This is a trick you can use in nearly any kind of work, but if you're on a computer it's very simple to just leave things as they are. If you can't do that because you're sharing a machine or use the same one for your daytime job, consider making a separate user account for your side projects so it can be left in a state of suspended animation and resumed again when you're ready.

Many of us have things we’d like to accomplish outside of our jobs, sometimes the sheer time and effort our careers require can prevent us from getting things done.

That’s obviously exhausting, but it’s also entirely doable, according to an illuminating thread on question-and-answer site Quora. In response to the question “How can you increase your productivity on side projects at the end of the day when you’re tired from work/college?”, entrepreneurs and hobbyists with serious side hustles offered all sorts of valuable advice on how to make your passion project take off, even if you’re still chained to your day job.

Here are some of their best suggestions:

  1. Work on your project at least once every.

  2. Leverage routine day.

  3.  Exercise.

  4. Break your project up into a series of manageable tasks.

     5. Maximize mornings.

Delegation to responsible project members and maintaining overall control. That is the best way to approach this.

Now I got to ask ... what is your side project?

Is it additional work for an other employer or your own business .. perhaps helping a family member with  the business?

Are you renovating your house ....

What time do you have when you come home ...

But than we do the nearly impossible and I have no clue how I survived it  ... when I went for11/2 years4 days in a week to school ...leaving at5 pm work (full time job) ... driving an hour to school and coming at11 pm home ... just to do the same thing over and over again... homework  was to be done on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays

My grandfather told me on several occasions " Where is a will there is a way" and yes if we set our minds to it we will do what needs to be done

And that is called weakness.. a weakness is always a part of interview when you're applying for a job so that weakness is a source of strength.. how? we're always working based on daily routine like wake up, eat, shower, prepare to go on work, going home and sleep then do it again and again so you're getting tired. on our daily routine specially in our job were always experiencing technical situations, targeting the time for projects chase the target on marketing and collaborate with co workers so you acquired strategies; and all of it is equivalent to opinion in the future which is will you advice or do it in your company and employees one day if you're a general manager, a president or a CEO. so the most precious their is your "time and job" so keep it interested and motivated on it for your self not for the company because the company is only using you as machine so.. therefore. leave your job based on your recent position and apply a Management Position and you will not be stressed and tired. so you have a plenty of time and handle your time you can do extra things too...
