Primavera P6 follows a structured rule base data. Prior knowledge of project schedule, resource loading, Work Breakdown structure and likwise are required to effectively use P6.
In other words, project basics and data organization from a project point of view is a pre-requisite skill for using P6.
Primavera is more advanced than Ms Project, however there are few similarities of ideas and methodologies. Hence, a good detailed knowledge of Ms Project would readily assist you in undertanding Primavera well enough.
The concept of overall MS Project and Primavera is same. However the Primavera is more advanced such as resources loading, WBS, Cost, earned value management, activity codings, etc are required to learn.
primavera would need some courses ; but the bases are the same :)
For my understanding for use the MS-Project you do have to have more expertise in planning but to operate the primavera you need to know more about the software and work as a robot.
In other words: "be a good pilot".
Primavera is a part of project mangement and schedule of project ,cost , time and over all control.
Yes. The project management methodologies used in both are the same provided that he knows both softwares.
Yes, Sure why not ; both are tools whihc help to plan your project, it is you not the tool which plans the project which tool to use depends on the project capacity.
